Crystal Visions >>
Many people enjoy a lovely crystal chandelier,
however not everyone is bowled over by the traditional chandelier with
hanging "droplets" that are so typical. Quite a lot of the more
contemporary chandelier type lights go that little bit too far in trying to
get away from the traditional stereo type and if you have ever seen the
latest Italian chandeliers that are encased in acrylic "cages" one begins to
wonder...
The
Kumulus chandelier however, designed by Peter Nilsson for
BSweden manages to be that wonderful
eye-catching centrepiece that works exceptionally well in both a classic
environment as well as in a contemporary space. This can easily be proven as
various versions of this crystal masterpiece hang in such diverse places as
the White Room at Harrods and in the new London headquarters of the PR
company Kreator.
With a diameter of over 1 meter, this
chandelier attracts much attention wherever it is shown and is a sublime
example of a modern interpretation of a classical idea, and it's a snip at
only £5720!
